Nigeria international Francisca Ordega has commenced the process of becoming a certified coach after enrolling for a Grade C coaching license course in the United States.
Though yet to hang up her boots, the 24-year-old began her football career at Bayelsa Queens in 2008 before joining Rivers Angels three years later. She is enjoying a good spell in the US.
The Super Falcons star alongside her Washington Spirit mates Ashley Hatch and Tiffany Weimer were part of the 21 professional players based in the US shortlisted for the programme.
The coaching course, which is being organised by U.S. Soccer, will provide the participating professional players with the C License – the minimum requirements into coaching.
The course, which is being provided free of charge, will see players undertake a 10-week long coaching education programme and commences on Sunday, September 30 in Herriman, Utak.
In a tweet on Sunday, her Washington based club confirmed the news of Ordega’s commencement of her coaching course.
The Super Falcons star will begin with the first in-person meeting of the course, running from September 30 to October 7 at Zions Bank Real Academy Training Center, followed by an eight-week mentorship period before the final phase at Real Academy from December. 7-9.
