There is palpable tension in the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the composition of the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari, reports New Telegraph.
Some of the party leaders are angry that President Buhari has shut them out of the process of picking his ministers.
Although, some of the leaders have submitted names to Buhari for consideration, they are in the dark over the composition of the cabinet.
Some of the leaders are not comfortable with the decision of Buhari to drop some of those who worked for the success of party in the election.
The leaders are also worried over the possibility of non-party men dominating the cabinet.
In the past three weeks, the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had begun discreet screening of the would-be ministers
Buhari, who has promised to name his cabinet in September, is expected to forward the ministerial list to the National Assembly before September 26.
