Tijani Babangida Gets Two Years Term Extension at FC Taraba

Former Nigeria international Tijani Babangida has been handed a two-year tenure extension as chairman of FC Taraba.
The Taraba State government decided to extend Babangida’s stay at the helm of the club after he successfully led the club to earn promotion to the Glo Premier League.
Babangida’s contract expired last year, but the former winger remained in charge of the club while he awaited the renewal of his contract.
The Jalingo-based club are currently putting finishing touches to their preparations for the new Glo Premier League season which commences on March 7.
Their media officer, Martin Odiete, revealed that the club were held to a 1-1 draw by Gombe United in a recent friendly encounter.
FC Taraba are scheduled to host neighbouring Nasarawa United in the opening fixture of the Glo Premier League season at the Jalingo City Stadium.
