Michael Babatunde has told MTNFootball.com he looks forward to a great start with his new Ukrainian club Volyn in a derby against Karpaty on Monday.
The Nigeria international joined Volyn on a four-year deal from Kryvbas FC last week.
The former Heartland FC winger was unveiled on Saturday after passing the routine medical.
“I feel great and excited to join a lovely club in Ukraine,” Babatunde told MTNFootball.com
“The atmosphere is very inviting and conducive. I was well received by everybody here and it was as if I have been here for long.
“I am looking forward to debut for my team on Monday, and I hope it will be on a winning note. If a goal comes with it, I will be a lot happier.
“I hope to reciprocate their love and confidence in me. Everyone is interesting, the president, fans, teammates and coach. I am here to show my stuff and won’t disappoint.”
Michael Babatunde featured for Nigeria at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil. He scored twice in 44 games for Kryvbas FC.
