Vincent Enyeama rejects Super Eagles return


The veteran goalkeeper has turned down interest of coming out of international retirement following the resignation of Sunday Oliseh as Super Eagles gaffer

Vincent Enyeama insists he has no intention to rescind on his international retirement’s decision to accept a return to the Nigeria’s senior national team.

Last Friday, Samson Siasia was reappointed Super Eagles coach following the resignation of Oliseh hinted at prospect of recalling the veteran goalkeeper to the team.

The Lille goalkeeper who made his debut for the Super Eagles on October 8 but 13 years after drew curtail on his international career following burst up with erstwhile Super Eagles coach.

“I don’t want to talk about this issue again. I think my earlier decision stands,” Enyeama told Brilafm.

Siasia has been directed to submit their programme including team list for qualifiers against the Egypt in the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

Nigeria are second in Group G with two points behind the seven time Africa champions.
