Apparently piqued by what he may have reffered to as inconsistency in the verdict of the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal the immediate past governor of Kogi state, Idris Wada, has indicated his ‎determination to go the hug and appeal the verdict of the Tribunal.
Wada who lost his case against Governor Yahaya Bello at the Tribunal also said he has rejected the verdict of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Speaking through his Special Adviser, Media and Strategy, Jacob Edi, Wada said as a believer in the judiciary he would prosecute the case and go ahead with an appeal at a higher level.

He said, “We believe in the judiciary and we still have confidence in the judiciary of the country. Since the law of the land provides that we can still move ahead to a higher court, we will utilise the opportunities available to us.

“We know that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man, so we are definitely going to file our appeal and we are confident of getting judgment “.

Barely 24 hours after James Faleke failed to unseat Yahaya Bello as Governor of Kogi State, immediate past Governor Idris Wada also lost his petition against the Governor at the tribunal sitting in Abuja as his petition was dismissed.

Wada who was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the election had challenged the emergence of Yahaya Bello as governor after the demise of Prince Abubakar Audu, APC candidate in the election.
