Interim chairman of the All Papcrogressive Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Muhammed Mabo, has said that contrary to insinuations, there are no factions in the party.

Mabo, who spoke at the weekend during the election of principal officers of the local government interim committee of the party, said APC is one big family, warning members not to create division among themselves.

“We don’t have factions in Kogi APC, as we are one big family. Therefore, no one should attempt to create faction at any level. We will not hesitate to deal with anyone who attempts to foment trouble within the party. Aggrieved members should channel their grievances to the appropriate authority for redress,” he said.

He said the party’s only mission in the state is to take over the Government House from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party.
“Interim officers both at state and local government are by no means officials of the party at the congress. It therefore means that anybody who has the aspiration to contest any position should continue to work hard as the congress will be conducted free and fair, giving all members equal right and opportunity,” he said.

Mabo urged the officials to propagate the principles and ideals of APC at the grass root level, adding that anyone who wants to join the party is welcome.
