Women’s U-20 WCQs: Tunisia, Zambia and Tanzania dumped out
Tunisia, Zambia and Tanzania have been eliminated from the African qualifiers for the FIFA Women’s Under-20 tournament, to be hosted by Canada from 5 to 24 August, 2014.
Also out of the qualifiers is Uganda which withdrew from its match against Ghana.
In their second-round, second leg match, Nigeria battered Tunisia 4-0 and qualified for the next stage on 8-0 goals aggregate.
The Nigerian girls had beaten Tunisia by the same number of goals (4-0) when they hosted the first leg on 14 December.
On Saturday, South Africa defeated Tanzania 5-0 on Saturday and won 9-1 on aggregate having won the first leg 4-1 away 7 December.
Equatorial Guinea defeated Zambia 4-0 Sunday to win 6-0 on aggregate after winning the first leg 2-0 away on 7 December.
The African qualifiers for Canada 2014 are being played on a home-and-away basis between September 2013 and 24 January, 2014.
African will present two teams at Canada 2014.
