The immediate past Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has commended the Super Eagles of Nigeria for giving their best at the World Cup finals.
The African champions lost its second round to France and failed to make history as the first Nigerian side to reach the quarter-final in a World Cup.
In a statement issued by the former minister said, “”I congratulate the Super Eagles, their team of coaches led by Stephen Keshi and the NFF for a very good outing at the ongoing FIFA World Cup. I am proud that you did a great credit to the work we did in 2012.
“I believe the entire country and continent is proud of you. The best surely lies ahead.”
