World Economic Forum: 12 heads of state, 900 delegates to storm Abuja for WEF

Some 12 heads of state and 900 delegates from across the world have indicated their interest to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa, to be held in Nigeria’s capital city of Abuja 7-9 May, the local media reported Tuesday.nig-gej

The delegates will come from 70 countries, 30 of them in Africa.

This is the first time the West African sub-region will be hosting the gathering, which has the theme, “Forging Inclusive Growth, Creating Jobs”.

Host President Goodluck Jonathan has assured participants at the forum of their safety, against the backdrop of the growing insurgency in Africa’s most populous nation.
