YSFON: Edo Speaker’s Cup kicks-off in Esan South-East LGA

The 15th edition of the Edo State Speaker’s Cup for Under-16 boys and Under-17 girls kickoff on Wednesday 20th to 27th November 2013 at Ubiaja, Esan-South Local Government Area of Edo State.

The championship is to be organized by the Edo State Chapter of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON).

According to the Chairman, Osamudiamwen Osageide, “all is set as the host local government chair Hon Joseph Ikpea has made every thing ready”.

“I want to say this year Speaker’s cup will be great, the host chairman has put in place everything for the tournament last year. It was host in Auchi were the speaker was present he will be around on Wednesday for the opening ceremony.”

The tournament is to discover talents from the participating 18 local governments in the state and some teams from outside the state have arrived for the kick off on Wednesday in Ubiaja.

“I must thank the host, chairman for keeping to his promise to improve on the past hosting arrangement. In fact we are going to host one of the best tournaments in YSFON,” Osageide declared.
