Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy loses mother Hajiya Fatima Binta Ladi Musa Musawa

 

 

The Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, has announced the passing of her mother, Hajiya Fatima Binta Ladi Musa Musawa.

 

Hajiya Fatima Binta Ladi Musa Musawa died on Saturday, June 13, 2026, following a brief illness. She was born on August 15, 1955, in Gusau, Zamfara State. She was widely regarded for her strong faith, humility, and deep devotion to her family and community.

 

In accordance with Islamic rites, funeral prayers (Jana’iza) were held on Sunday at the National Mosque in Abuja. She was thereafter laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.

 

She is survived by six children, including Hajiya Zainab Musawa, Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties in Katsina State; Hajiya Hadiza Ali, Special Assistant to the President; and the Honourable Minister, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, among others.

 

The Minister, the staff of the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, and the Musawa family have expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of condolences, prayers, and support from the Federal Government, colleagues, stakeholders in the creative industry, and well-wishers.

 

May Almighty Allah grant the deceased Al-Jannah Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
