Enyimba FC asks coach Stanley Eguma to step aside after poor run of results

Enyimba Football Club have announced that Technical Adviser Coach Stanley Eguma and his assistants, Ndubuisi Nduka and Joseph Boma, have been directed to step aside with immediate effect following a series of disappointing performances.

The decision was communicated in an official letter to Coach Eguma after an emergency management meeting on Sunday, shortly after Enyimba suffered a shock NPFL matchday 13 defeat to Wikki Tourist FC at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.

According to the club’s management, the move is part of a wider effort to address the team’s current struggles and initiate a thorough review of technical and on-field performances.

In the interim, Assistant Coach Lawrence Ukaegbu has been appointed to oversee training sessions and lead preparations ahead of Enyimba’s matchday 14 fixture against Katsina United in Jos next Sunday.

Enyimba’s hierarchy reiterated their commitment to restoring stability and improving results as the season progresses.
