NVBF President confirms Nigeria's readiness to host African Women's Club Volleyball Championship
Engineer Musa Nimrod, President of the NVBF, confirmed Nigeria's readiness to host the African Women's Club Volleyball Championship. The tournament is scheduled for Abuja from 1 to 14 April.
During a facilities inspection, Nimrod praised the NCS, the main sponsor. He thanked them for their ongoing support. "The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) are doing a very good job," he stated. "We appreciate them".
The NCS aims to deliver a top-tier tournament as the sole sponsor. Their volleyball team hopes to improve upon their fourth-place finish in 2021. They seek to win on home soil this year.
Nimrod assured that the Nigeria Customs' women’s volleyball team is well-prepared. They went on a West African tour as part of their preparation. "I know they are in full preparation," he said. "They would do their best." He added that the NCS provided everything needed for the players.
He invited volleyball fans nationwide to attend the Abuja tournament. "The opening ceremony is on the 3rd, and the closing ceremony on the 13th," he explained. He urged enthusiasts and players to come to Abuja.
The African Women's Club Volleyball Championship will feature top teams from across Africa. This strengthens Nigeria’s position in international volleyball.
