Patrice Motsepe set to watch Flamingos in U-17 Women's World Cup Final

President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr Patrice Motsepe, has congratulated Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, on their qualification for the final of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

Motsepe is expected to travel to Rabat to watch the Nigerian youngsters face Japan in Saturday’s final, November 7, as they seek to win their first-ever world title.

The CAF president expressed delight at the Flamingos’ impressive campaign, which has placed the Nigerian team on the verge of making history for both the country and the African continent.

CAF has also urged all 54 member associations to rally behind the Flamingos as they prepare for the decisive encounter against Japan.

Victory would see Nigeria become the first African nation to win the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, marking a historic achievement for the continent.

The Flamingos will be hoping to crown their impressive run with a memorable triumph and bring the coveted trophy home to Nigeria.
