Rasheedat Ajibade inspires PSG to five-star Champions League win over Leuven
Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade opened the scoring as Paris Saint-Germain produced a five-star performance to thrash Leuven 5-0 in their second match of the 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase on Thursday.
Ajibade put PSG ahead in the ninth minute, finishing from a pass by Naomie Feller. Her strike proved to be the only goal of the first half.
PSG returned from the break with renewed attacking intensity, with Feller doubling their advantage in the 51st minute.
The French side continued to dominate, with Feller completing her brace 12 minutes later before turning provider for Sakina Karchaoui, who scored PSG’s fourth goal.
Karchaoui then returned the favour by setting up Brazil international Yaya to complete the rout in the 84th minute.
Ajibade played for 71 minutes before being replaced by Yaya. The 26-year-old forward has now scored twice in three UEFA Women’s Champions League appearances this season.
Her Super Falcons teammate Jennifer Echegini also started the encounter and featured for 71 minutes before making way for Griedge Mbock.
The convincing victory moved PSG to third place in the UWCL league phase standings with four points from their opening two matches.
PSG will return to domestic action on October 4, when they face Fleury 91 in a French league encounter.
