Nigeria’s Stallions have made a flying start to their Africa Men’s Sevens Series campaign in Kampala, Uganda, cruising past Ghana’s Black Eagles 28–5 in their opening game.

The Stallions set the tone from the opening whistle, playing with pace, intensity and relentless pressure as they kept Ghana pinned back for much of the contest.

Nigeria’s dominance eventually told on the scoreboard, with the Stallions turning their pressure into points and securing a convincing victory to kick off their campaign in style.

Up next is Morocco at 12:44, with the North Africans looking to respond after a 19–12 defeat to Zimbabwe in their opening match.

For Nigeria, another victory would strengthen their position ahead of a potentially decisive final group clash with Zimbabwe.

Elsewhere, Zambia edged Tunisia 10–7, while hosts Uganda thrashed Senegal 38–0.

The Stallions are off the mark in Kampala. Now, their sights are firmly set on Morocco.
