Warri Wolves unveil 12 new signings ahead of 2026/27 NPFL season

Warri Wolves have unveiled 12 new players as they intensify preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Warri Wolves who narrowly escaped relegation on the final day of last season, have moved quickly to reinforce their squad as they brace for another demanding campaign.

Leading the list of new arrivals is former Shooting Stars defender Samuel Okon, alongside a number of players recruited from PSports FA.

The club has also welcomed several players returning to Nigeria after stints abroad. James Akawu returns from Mexico, while Ubah Cyracus and Alex Aguodoh are back from spells in Egypt and Niger respectively.

Other new additions include Auwal Abubakar and Ezegbu Divine Justice, who join from Ahzuba FC of Kano.

Despite unveiling a dozen new players, Warri Wolves say their recruitment drive is not over, with the club confirming that more signings will be announced before the new season kicks off.

Warri Wolves will begin their campaign away from home on August 30, when they make the short trip to Benin to face Bendel Insurance in their opening fixture.
