2026 President Federation Cup Round of 64 fixtures emerge
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled the fixtures for the Round of 64 of the 2026 President Federation Cup, throwing up several mouthwatering clashes across the men’s and women’s competitions.
Nigeria Premier Football League title contenders Rivers United and Rangers International headline the standout ties after both sides were handed potentially tricky opponents in the opening round.
Rivers United, champions of Rivers State, will square up against Lagos-based non-league side G12 Football Academy, while record cup winners Rangers International face a stern challenge against second-tier outfit Godswill Akpabio United.
Interestingly, both NPFL heavyweights who have battled closely in the league title race this season could be on course for another showdown in the Round of 32 if they successfully navigate their opening fixtures.
Defending champions Kwara United will kick off their title defence against Sporting Supreme U19, while 2024 winners Elkanemi Warriors are set for a difficult clash against Krusaders FC.
Former champions Akwa United will battle Wilbros FC, as continental hopefuls Shooting Stars take on Kebbi United in what appears to be a favourable route that could keep them away from another top-flight side until the Round of 16.
Nine-time Nigerian champions Enyimba have been paired against El Shama FC, while high-flying Ikorodu City face GAA Akanbi of Ilorin in a fixture that could set up a potential Round of 16 clash with the People’s Elephant.
Last season’s runners-up Abakaliki FC will begin their campaign against Abu DLC FC, while ambitious Ogun State side Beyond Limits FA tackle Bida Lions for a place in the next round.
The NFF is expected to announce venues for all ties ahead of the matches scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 21.
