Chelsea sign Super Falcons-eligible forward Rachael Adedini

Women’s Super League champions Chelsea have announced the signing of Super Falcons-eligible forward Rachael Adedini ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Born in France, Adedini attracted interest from several English clubs following impressive performances in the youth academies of Manchester United and Manchester City.

Despite her promising displays, the teenage forward is yet to make a senior-team appearance for either Manchester club. However, her lack of first-team opportunities has not diminished her reputation as one of the exciting young prospects in women’s football.

Chelsea have now moved to secure her signature, announcing the acquisition on their official social media channels.

The Blues are expected to strengthen their attacking options at youth level with the addition of Adedini, while providing the youngster with a potential pathway to the senior team as the club continues its pursuit of Manchester City in the league title race.

Known for her clinical finishing and strong physical attributes, the forward will be eager to make an impression at Stamford Bridge and establish herself within Chelsea’s setup.

The 17-year-old has represented France at various youth levels, including the Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 teams.

However, her international future remains open, as she is still eligible to represent Nigeria at senior level through her parents. Her development at Chelsea could therefore attract attention from the Nigeria Football Federation as the Super Falcons continue to monitor players eligible to represent the country.
