Chiamaka Nnadozie wins WSL save of the month
CAF Goalkeeper of the Year, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has added another accolade to her growing list of honours, winning the British Gas Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) Save of the Month award for November.
The Super Falcons and Brighton & Hove Albion shot-stopper earned the award for her spectacular save in the 1–1 draw against Liverpool, a moment of brilliance where she reacted sharply to tip Fuka Nagano’s long-range effort onto the crossbar.
Nnadozie’s heroics beat out strong competition from Sabrina D’Angelo (Aston Villa), Faye Kirby (Liverpool), and Ayaka Yamashita (Manchester City) to claim the monthly prize.
After narrowly missing out on the October award to Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar, the newly crowned African Goalkeeper of the Year has now been rewarded for her elite consistency and outstanding performances between the sticks.
