Abiola Juwon, a rising star in the coaching world, has been named an assistant coach for the Arizona State Sun Devils women’s basketball team.

Juwon brings with her a wealth of experience at both the professional and international levels. She most recently served as an assistant coach with the WNBA's Connecticut Sun during the past season, where she played a key role in player development and game strategy.

On the international stage, Juwon was part of the coaching crew for D’Tigress, Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Under her guidance, the team reached the quarter-finals before falling to the United States in a hard-fought 74–88 contest.

Now joining the Sun Devils, Juwon steps into a program that competes in the Big 12 Conference and represents Arizona State University at the NCAA Division I level. Her addition to the coaching staff is expected to bring fresh energy and a global perspective to the team.
