The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele approved the suspension of Bendel Insurance Head Coach, Greg Ikhenoba.

The suspension takes effect from Monday, October 6, 2025, following a string of poor results in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, including a disappointing 1–0 home loss to Nasarawa United on Matchday 7 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

In the interim, Hon. Enabulele has directed Coach Baldwin Bazuaye (MON) to take charge of the team’s technical affairs until further notice.

The Edo Sports Commission chairman emphasized that the decision aims to stabilize the team’s performance and restore the club’s competitive edge in the league.
