Ekiti Queens appoint Sabo Abu Okala as head coach
The office of sports development is delighted to announce the appointment of Coach Sabo Abu Okala as the new Head Coach of Ekiti Queens FC ahead of the forthcoming Nigeria Women Football League season.
Coach Okala brings a wealth of experience to the Baoress Babes, having enjoyed a distinguished playing career with clubs including Sheraton FC, Water Resources FC, FCDA FC, BCC Lions, Niger Tornadoes, Al Wakrah Sports Club of Qatar and Gabros FC before transitioning into coaching.
The experienced tactician has coached Tiyu Academy, Fosac Academy, Kogi United Feeders, Confluence Queens, Honey Badgers and Naija Ratels FC, while recording notable achievements including NWFL Super Six qualifications, promotion to the Nigeria National League and a runner-up finish in the Nigerian Women's League.
A holder of NIS and UEFA Open Fun Football coaching certifications, Coach Okala is expected to deploy his vast experience in player development and team management to strengthen Ekiti Queens FC and steer the club towards sustained success.
The management of Ekiti Queens FC warmly welcomes Coach Sabo Abu Okala to the club and wishes him a productive and successful tenure as he begins a new chapter with the Baoress Babes.
