Indomitable Lionesses name 25-player roster for Super Falcons pre-WAFCON test
Nigeria’s Super Falcons will confront a fully assembled 25 player Cameroon squad as the Indomitable Lionesses step up preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with two high profile international friendlies.
The Cameroonian Football Federation has invited 25 players, drawn largely from the domestic championship and reinforced by a handful of foreign based professionals, for the crucial double header against their long-time rivals.
The players are expected to converge at the team’s training camp in Mundi, where they will begin intensive preparations ahead of the prestige clashes scheduled for Saturday, 28 February, and Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
The two encounters are expected to provide both Cameroon and Nigeria valuable competitive edge and tactical refinement as they gear up for the continent’s biggest women’s football showpiece.
Cameroon will head into the tournament placed in a tricky Group D alongside Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mali, while Nigeria’s Super Falcons face a challenging Group C campaign against Zambia, Egypt, and Malawi.
With both African powerhouses eyeing continental glory, the friendlies are expected to ignite one of Africa’s fiercest rivalries and offer a strong indication of their readiness ahead of the 2026 WAFCON.
