Morocco 2025: FECAFOOT suspends U-17 Women's Head Coach ahead of World Cup
The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has suspended Touongo Ndoko Joseph Brian, Head Coach of the country’s U17 Women’s National Team, following serious accusations of misconduct.
In a statement released on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, FECAFOOT confirmed that the coach will not accompany the team to the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
To ensure continuity and adequate preparation, FECAFOOT announced that Mrs. Ndoumou Mike Joséphine Mimosette, Assistant Coach of the senior women’s national team, the Indomitable Lionesses, will assume leadership of the U17 side. She will oversee the technical staff as the team finalizes its build-up to the tournament.
The federation stressed its dedication to safeguarding players’ welfare and protecting the ethical values of the game.
“FECAFOOT reaffirms its unwavering commitment to protecting the moral and physical integrity of the players, and to upholding the ethical values that underpin Cameroonian, continental, and global football,” the statement read.
The suspension comes just weeks before the U17 Lionesses begin their World Cup campaign, with the new coaching team tasked with steadying the side under challenging circumstances.
