NAWFA congratulates Nasarawa Amazons on President Federation Cup triumph
The Northern Amateur Women Football Association (NAWFA) has extended warm congratulations to Nasarawa Amazons following their triumph in the 2026 Women's President Federation Cup.
In a congratulatory message, NAWFA President, Moses Nagogo Bako, described the victory as a fitting reward for the club's resilience, discipline, and outstanding performances throughout the competition.
"The victory of Nasarawa Amazons is a testament to the quality, determination, and fighting spirit that have become synonymous with the club. They have once again made Northern Nigerian women's football proud," Bako said.
NAWFA commended the players, coaching crew, management, supporters, and the Nasarawa State Government for their unwavering commitment to the growth of women's football.
The association noted that the club's success will continue to inspire young female footballers across Northern Nigeria and the country at large to pursue excellence both on and off the pitch.
Nasarawa Amazons were crowned champions after defeating Heartland Queens 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time in the final played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
NAWFA wished the newly crowned champions continued success in their future competitions and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of women's football across Northern Nigeria.
