NFF appoints Udofia, Niyi Busari to Olympic Eagles
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Prince Sunday Udofia as Team Coordinator of the U23 men’s national football team, the Olympic Eagles.
Udofia has previously excelled in a similar role with the Golden Eaglets, Nigeria’s U17 boys’ national team, helping the team during their successful campaign to defend the FIFA U17 World Cup title in Chile in 2015.
The NFF has also named ace sports journalist Niyi Busari, publisher of the online sports platform BSN Sports, as Media Officer of the Olympic Eagles.
Both officials are expected to join the squad as the team resumes camp in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday, October 25, ahead of a two-legged U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Nigeria will travel to Lubumbashi for the first leg against DR Congo at the TP Mazembe Stadium on Friday, November 13.
The return leg is scheduled to take place four days later at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, where the Olympic Eagles will look to secure progress in the qualifying campaign.
