NPFL Youth League: Clubs zoned for Regional Play

Clubs in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) have been grouped into three zones for the kickoff of the NPFL Youth League as part of the closing activities for the 2024/25 season.

The league will be played across three centres Ikenne, Umuahia, and Kano with clubs grouped based on geographical proximity to ease logistics and promote regional rivalries.

Action gets underway today at the Ikenne centre, featuring Remo Stars, Shooting Stars, Ikorodu City, Sunshine Stars, Kwara United, and Bendel Insurance. Matches in this zone will run through to August 9.

In the Kano zone, fixtures are scheduled from August 10 to 16. Participating clubs include Kano Pillars, El-Kanemi Warriors, Katsina United, Nasarawa United, Niger Tornadoes, and Plateau United.

The Umuahia centre features eight teams: Abia Warriors, Akwa United, Enyimba, Rangers, Heartland, Bayelsa United, Rivers United, and Lobi Stars.

At the conclusion of the round-robin fixtures in each zone, the top two teams from each centre will qualify for the Top-Six Finals, where the overall U-19 NPFL Youth League champions will be decided.
