NWF President, two others get WFA roles
Three Nigerians got roles on the board of the Weightlifting Federation of Africa (WFA) after today's election in Moka, Mauritius at the ongoing African Weightlifting Championship.
They are former President, Nigeria Weightlifting Federation (NWF), Chimdi Ejiogu who retained his position as the Vice President of the WFA.
Lawrence Iquaibom is now a member of the WFA Technical Committee.
While the incumbent President of the NWF, Dr. Abdul A. Ibrahim is now the Chairman Marketing Commission for WFA.
Lawrence Iquaibom has just been elected as a member of the Technical Committee of the Weightlifting Federation of Africa (WFA) at the body’s congress in Mauritius.
The retired weightlifter from Akwa Ibom will also serve as one of the technical officials at the Senior African Weightlifting Championship which begins tomorrow.
Iquaibom represented Nigeria at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics before retiring and has served as an International Technical Official at many tournaments including the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and International Weightlifting Championships.
