Naija Ratels FC appoint coach Sabo Awala Okala as new Technical Adviser
Nigeria Women’s Football League side, Naija Ratels, have confirmed the appointment of Sabo Okala Awala as their new technical adviser ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Awala, a former handler of Confluence Queens, takes over from Samson Keshi, who departed after leading the Abuja-based club to a 6th-place finish at the Super 6 Championship in Ikenne, Ogun State, the climax of the 2024/25 campaign.
Speaking at his unveiling on Wednesday in Abuja, Awala expressed gratitude for the opportunity and vowed to build a competitive side capable of challenging for top honours.
“I appreciate the confidence the club has shown in me. We will give everything both on and off the pitch to achieve success, and our target is to challenge for the league title,” he said.
With their new gaffer in charge, the Ratels will now turn attention to fine-tuning preparations for the 2025/26 season.
