Nneka Ogwumike stars as Seattle ends Minnesota unbeaten streak

Nneka Ogwumike had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 Assist, Erica wheeler added 20 points and 6 assist as the Seattle Storm edged past Minnesota Lynx 94- 84 to end Minnesota's season opening streak at nine. Nneka was outstanding as she recorded her fourth 20+ point game of the season. The Seattle Storm has now won three consecutive games after losing three straight. Meanwhile, with Minnesota's fall, the New York Liberty is now the only unbeaten side in the WNBA.

 

The Phoenix Mercury beat the Dallas Wings 93-80. Satou Sabally had 20 points and 10 rebounds against her former team, the Dallas Wings, Alyssia Thomas added 11 points and 10 assists, which did damage to Paige Beuckers 35 point Performance for Dallas Wings.

 

Paige Beuckers, who just made a return after a four game absence due to concussion protocol and illness, became the fourth rookie in Dallas Wings to score 30 plus points in a single game with Arike Ogunbowale the last to do it in 2019. 

 

Despite this display, the likes of Kitija Laska had 14 points and four 3 pointers , Kathryn Westbeld scored 11, Lexi Held 11 and Murjanatu Musa recorded her first block of the season with 7 points and 3 rebounds to aid Pheonix win.

 

Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Sparks beat the Las Vegas Aces 97-89. Rickea Jacksons career-high 30 points, and Azura Stevens's 19 points and 10 rebounds stood out in the Los Angeles Sparks win. 

 

For the Aces, Jackie Young tied her career-high 34 points, and Chelsea Gray added 28. The Aces were without their star centre, A'ja Wilson, for the final 1q minutes of the game after she left with a head injury in the third quarter.
