Peter Eze Youth Connect 2026 to link thousands of Enugu youths to jobs, opportunities
The Federal Character Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission, Hon. Peter Eze, has announced a youth-focused engagement aimed at connecting thousands of young people in the state with jobs, skills and other life-changing opportunities.
The programme, tagged “Peter Eze Youth Connect 2026,” is scheduled to hold on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.
In a statement issued on Monday, Eze said the initiative would make Enugu a meeting point for young people seeking access to employment, skills development, education, career opportunities and greater exposure.
The event, themed “Beyond Quotas: Unlocking Opportunities for Enugu Youths Through the Federal Character Commission,” is designed to provide practical guidance and pathways for youths to identify, access and maximise available opportunities.
According to Eze, the programme is not intended to be centred solely on him as an individual but is aimed at creating a broader platform to open up opportunities for young people across Enugu State.
He said the initiative reflects his commitment to identifying and unlocking opportunities for youths, particularly in the areas of employment, training, education, exposure and career development.
“My approach is driven by a firm belief in the potential of Nigerian youths and the need to move beyond rhetoric by creating practical pathways through which young people can access opportunities and improve their lives,” Eze said.
With just three days to the event, the commissioner encouraged Enugu youths to take advantage of the platform as a step towards expanding their access to meaningful opportunities and building a stronger future.
