Shooting Stars warn fans against violence, appeal for patience amid poor results

The management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has appealed to supporters to remain patient and continue backing the team despite growing disappointment over its recent results, while warning against threats, intimidation and violence directed at club officials, players and staff.

In a press release, the Oluyole Warriors acknowledged that their recent performances had fallen short of expectations, admitting that the results did not reflect what the management and supporters had hoped for at the start of the campaign.

The club has come under increasing pressure following its recent struggles, with fans expressing frustration over the team’s inability to secure the desired results. However, the management stressed that the season remains at an early stage, leaving room for improvement and a turnaround in fortunes.

While appreciating the passion and commitment of supporters at home and away, the club urged them to remain calm and united as efforts continue to restore the team’s winning form.

The management, however, made it clear that dissatisfaction with results must not translate into misconduct, warning that threats, intimidation, verbal abuse and physical attacks against any member of the Shooting Stars family would not be tolerated.

The warning covers all club personnel, including the Executive Chairman, Sporting Director, Technical Adviser, coaches, technical staff, players and other employees.

The club further urged supporters to express their grievances responsibly and within the confines of the law. It warned that anyone found engaging in abusive or violent conduct could face an immediate ban from attending matches and possible referral to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.

Despite the challenging period, Shooting Stars expressed confidence in their ability to improve their performances and recover from the recent setbacks. The management maintained that unity and continued support would be crucial to helping the team regain its form.

The statement ended with a call for solidarity among the club’s management, players and supporters, emphasising the need for a collective effort to overcome the current difficulties.

“Together, we will turn this around,” the club declared, reaffirming its commitment to improving results and restoring the confidence of its supporters.
