Shooting Stars forward Lucky Gyang apologises to fans aftet two home draws

Shooting Stars forward Lucky Gyang Emmanuel has apologised to the club’s fans following the Oluyole Warriors’ consecutive goalless draws against Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Gyang expressed his disappointment with the results in a message posted on his official Facebook page, acknowledging the supporters’ frustration after the team failed to secure maximum points in both home fixtures.

The No. 14 shirt wearer recognised the sacrifices and unwavering loyalty of the Shooting Stars faithful, admitting that the players had fallen short of expectations despite the continued backing of their supporters.

“First, I want to say sorry. Sorry for the result. Sorry for letting you down at home,” Gyang wrote.

The forward stressed that the players understood the significance of representing the club and appreciated the commitment shown by fans, even during difficult periods.

Taking responsibility on behalf of the team, Gyang insisted that the recent disappointing results would not discourage the players from working harder to improve their performances.

“As a team, we take full responsibility. This recent run of results hurts us deeply, but it will not break us. We are going back to the training ground to work harder, to correct our mistakes, and to fight for you,” he stated.

He also urged supporters to remain patient and continue believing in the team, assuring them that the players were determined to turn their fortunes around and bring back the joy of victory.

“Thank you for not giving up on us. Please continue to believe in us. We promise to make you proud again very soon,” he added.

Gyang concluded his message with a heartfelt reassurance in Yoruba: “E ma binu, a tún bọ̀. A ó mú inú yín dùn lẹ́ẹ̀kan sí i.”

The statement translates to an appeal for forgiveness and a promise to return stronger and make the fans happy again, as Shooting Stars look to bounce back from their recent home setbacks.
