Super Eagles set for Venezuela, Colombia friendlies in United States of America
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will face Venezuela and Colombia in high-profile international friendlies during the FIFA window in November 2025.
According to the NFF, Nigeria will begin their U.S. tour against Venezuela on Friday, November 14, at the Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. local time. Four days later, the three-time African champions will take on Colombia at Citi Field in Queens, New York, on Tuesday, November 18, also kicking off at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (1 a.m. Wednesday in Nigeria).
The fixtures mark the Super Eagles’ return to American soil for the first time since they lost 2-1 to Mexico in former coach José Peseiro’s debut and fell 1-0 to Ecuador in New Jersey.
Eric Chelle’s men will use the friendlies as tune-up matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off barely a month later.
