Team Nigeria shines at 2026 African Cycling Para-track and track Championship
Team Nigeria has put on a spectacular display at the 2026 Confederation of African Cycling Para-Track and Track Championships, securing a remarkable haul of 16 medals in the ongoing competition in Abuja.
Held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome, the championship has drawn top cycling talent from across the continent, including Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Algeria, and host nation Nigeria.
After two days of intense racing, Nigeria leads the medal standings with nine gold, five silver, and two bronze medals, outpacing several of Africa’s traditional cycling powerhouses.
Egypt follows in second place with a total of 14 medals, while Kenya holds third with nine. South Africa and Algeria round out the top five as the championship continues to unfold in the Nigerian capital.
