Tobi Amusan faces tough test in World Athletics Ultimate Championship semifinal
Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan faces a formidable challenge in the women’s 100m hurdles semifinal at the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest.
The former world record holder will compete in a star-studded field that includes Bahamas’ Devynne Charlton, Jamaica’s Danielle Williams and Americans Alia Armstrong and Keni Harrison.
Amusan will be targeting a strong performance as she bids to secure one of the available spots in the final and continue her pursuit of honours at the three-day championship.
The World Athletics Ultimate Championship is taking place in Budapest from September 11 to 13, bringing together some of the world’s leading track and field athletes.
With a place in the final on the line, Amusan will need to produce her best form to overcome a highly experienced field and keep her title hopes alive.
