2026 BSAFCONQ: Kaduna State Government assures Super Sand Eagles of support ahead of Ghana return leg

Hassan Buba, speaking on behalf of the Kaduna State Commissioner for Sports Development, has wished the Super Sand Eagles success ahead of their trip to Ghana for the return leg of the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Buba delivered the message during a visit by the national beach soccer team before their departure, assuring the players and officials of the state government’s support as they prepare for the decisive encounter.

He urged the team to maintain discipline throughout their stay in Ghana, while offering prayers for a successful outing.

"As you prepare to travel to Ghana, we want to wish you well and pray that as you are going for the return leg, may God Almighty make you victorious. Please be disciplined over there. Discipline is the watchword," Buba said.

He further assured the team that Kaduna State remained firmly behind them, despite the inability of its officials to accompany the delegation to Ghana.

"We are solidly behind you in spirit because we can't make it to Ghana. We pray for you. Insha Allah, you will come out victorious," he added.

Buba also conveyed the goodwill message of the Kaduna State Commissioner for Sports Development, who was unable to attend the visit because of another important engagement outside the state.

"On behalf of Kaduna State Honourable Commissioner, who is not available, I believe he wished to be here as he did during the first leg. Unfortunately, he is out of town for another important engagement. I extend his regards to you. He is wishing you all the very best," he said.

The Super Sand Eagles will travel to Ghana looking to secure qualification for the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations after 3-3 draw in the first leg, with the team carrying the support and best wishes of the Kaduna State Government into the return fixture.
