President of the African Beach Soccer Union (ABSU), Mahmud Hadejia, has visited the camp of Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles in Kaduna, where he presented cash gifts to the team ahead of their crucial 2026 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying fixture against Ghana.

 Hadejia was accompanied by officials of the Kaduna State Government, led by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Sports Development, Dorcas Benjamin Tanko, the Senior Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on Sports, Mohammed Amin Mahmood, and Kaduna State Beach Soccer Asociation Chairman, Engineer Musa Nimrod.

 The officials formally welcomed the Super Sand Eagles to Kaduna State for their camping programme ahead of the first leg of the CAF African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana, scheduled to take place in Kaduna on October 10, 2026.

 The Nigerian side will then travel to Ghana for the return leg of the two-legged qualifying tie.

 The winner on aggregate over the two legs will secure qualification for the 2026 Beach Soccer AFCON, scheduled to be held in Senegal.

 Hadejia’s visit and financial support are expected to further motivate the players and technical crew as they intensify preparations for the decisive qualification battle.
