Morocco 2025 Fan ID application hit record two million as demand surges

The process of applying for Fan ID cards for the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 has witnessed record-breaking demand, setting an unprecedented milestone in the history of African football tournaments.

According to official information obtained by Rue20 from the tournament’s organizing committee, applications for the Fan ID — which enables supporters to purchase match tickets and obtain entry visas to Morocco — have reached an astonishing two million requests worldwide.

The YALLA digital platform, launched to streamline the Fan ID and ticketing process, recorded a massive influx of visitors shortly after opening, leading to temporary technical slowdowns and brief interruptions. The system marks a first-of-its-kind innovation in the history of both the Africa Cup of Nations and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

So far, 92,000 user accounts have been officially activated, while more than 56,000 Fan ID cards were validated within the first 20 hours of launch — a record pace underscoring the global enthusiasm and anticipation for the Morocco 2025 AFCON.

The surge in early applications highlights fans’ eagerness to be part of what promises to be one of the most exciting and technologically advanced editions of the tournament.
