Ahmed Musa shuns Europe talks, set to revive Kano Pillars glory
Former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has played down speculation linking him with a move back to Europe, choosing instead to channel his energy into rebuilding Kano Pillars into a domestic powerhouse once again.
Reports had suggested that the 33 year old winger was considering a reunion with former international teammate Victor Moses at FC Kaysar. But insiders close to the Sai Masu Gida hierarchy insist the veteran forward has no immediate plans to leave Nigeria, as his focus remains firmly rooted in Kano.
Balancing his dual responsibilities as both player and General Manager, Musa is said to be prioritising stability at the club, ensuring they maintain their Nigeria Professional Football League status while laying the foundation for long term success.
According to management member Lurwanu Malikawa, the former CSKA Moscow star has urged supporters to disregard the transfer rumours, reiterating that his mission is to restore pride and silverware to the four-time NPFL champions.
Musa, who continues to train consistently and feature in matches, is reportedly working tirelessly behind the scenes to reposition Pillars among the elite sides in the country.
Beyond domestic ambitions, the club legend is also eyeing a return to continental relevance, with aspirations of seeing Kano Pillars compete once more in CAF competitions rather than seeking another stint abroad.
