CAF announces 2025 award date
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2025 edition of the CAF Awards will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
The prestigious ceremony will celebrate Africa’s finest footballers, coaches, clubs, and national teams for their outstanding performances over the past year.
The awards night will kick off at 19:00 local time and will honour those whose exploits for club and country have set them apart across the continent.
Among the categories to be awarded are: CAF African Player of the Year (Men & Women) CAF Coach of the Year (Men & Women) National Team of the Year (Men & Women) Club of the Year (Men & Women) CAF Young Player of the Year Nigeria will be strongly represented in Rabat, with several names making the shortlist across different categories.
Among them are Victor Osimhen, Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Stanley Nwabali, Daniel Bameyi, Shakirat Moshood, Justine Madugu, and Bankole Olowookere.
Osimhen, who has been in superb form for Galatasaray, will be aiming to reclaim the CAF African Player of the Year award he first won in 2023.
The Super Eagles striker faces stiff competition from top contenders including Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/PSG), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea/Borussia Dortmund), Denis Bouanga (Gabon/LAFC), and Zambo Anguissa (Cameroon/Napoli).
The night promises to be a grand celebration of African football excellence, with the continent’s best talents gathering under the lights of Rabat to be crowned kings and queens of African football.
