FIFA’s $13 Billion Investment to Boost African Football Development
FIFA has reinforced its commitment to global football growth, with a revised revenue target of $13 billion for the 2023-2026 cycle, nearly 90% of which will be reinvested into the game.
This development presents a major boost for African football, ensuring increased funding for infrastructure, grassroots programs, and professional leagues across the continent.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the organization’s vision for inclusive development, stating, “FIFA’s reserves, which are there for global football development, will remain untouched. Every dollar generated will go back into the game, ensuring football thrives in every corner of the world.”
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is expected to generate $2 billion, with a $1 billion solidarity fund that will benefit clubs globally, including those in Africa.
