Friendlies: Eric Chelle unleashes Osimhen, Lookman, Ndidi for Poland, Portugal
Head coach Eric Chelle has named a strong Super Eagles squad for next month’s high profile international friendly matches against Poland and Portugal as Nigeria steps up preparations for future continental assignments.
The three time African champions will face Poland at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw on June 3 before travelling to Leiria for a glamour clash against Portugal on June 10 in what will serve as the Europeans’ final warm up match before the FIFA World Cup.
Captain Wilfred Ndidi headlines the squad alongside key stars including Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.
Chelle also retained several players involved in the Unity Cup squad, while blending the group with experienced internationals expected to provide quality and stability against two strong European opponents.
