Gusau hails NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko on birthday

 

 

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, MON, has congratulated the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an exceptional leader whose contributions continue to transform Nigerian sports.

 

Gusau, who also serves as President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B, commended Dikko's unwavering commitment to advancing the country's sporting fortunes both at home and on the international stage.

 

According to the NFF President, Dikko has demonstrated remarkable dedication to building a sustainable sports economy while implementing policies aimed at improving sports development across the country.

 

"The Nigeria Football Federation felicitates a visionary, energetic and dedicated leader who has continued to justify the confidence reposed in him by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in appointing him as Chairman of the National Sports Commission. We wish him many more years of meaningful and productive service to our dear country, and we are confident that he will continue to lead Nigerian sports to greater heights of excellence," Gusau said.

 

He further praised Dikko's leadership style, noting that his professionalism, humility and people-oriented approach have had a positive impact on Nigeria's various national football teams. Gusau added that Dikko's diligence and commitment have earned him widespread respect among colleagues, superiors and subordinates.

 

The NFF President also highlighted the progress recorded by the National Sports Commission under Dikko's leadership, particularly in sports development initiatives and athlete welfare, describing the reforms as significant milestones for the sector.

 

"Alhaji Shehu Dikko is a breath of fresh air in the leadership of Nigerian sports. The NFF has enjoyed a harmonious working relationship with the National Sports Commission since he assumed office, and we appreciate his genuine concern for the welfare of our various national teams. We wish him long life, good health and continued success in service to the nation," Gusau added.
