Mohammed VI Academy quartet set to lead Morocco's charge at U-17 AFCON

Four talented youngsters from the prestigious Mohammed VI Football Academy are preparing to showcase their abilities on home soil as Morocco gears up for the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament will provide another major platform for Africa’s rising stars, with Morocco’s squad featuring four standout products of the academy — Ibn Salah Oualid, Boughazir Adam, Harouch Mohamed and Ezzarky Ayman.

Their development reflects the success of the academy’s sports and education model established in 2009 under the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to strengthen Moroccan football from the grassroots level.

The Mohammed VI Academy has become one of Africa’s leading football development institutions by combining elite football training with academic education, while ensuring talented youngsters from different regions of the country receive equal opportunities to succeed.

As the four players prepare to represent Morocco at the continental tournament, they follow in the footsteps of former academy graduates who helped the nation win the U23 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023 and the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2025.

The steady progression from youth development to international success highlights Morocco’s long-term commitment to building a sustainable football structure capable of producing world-class talent for years to come.
