NWFL opens mid-season transfer window ahead of Second round
The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has thrown open the mid-season transfer window for Premiership clubs, offering teams a vital opportunity to strengthen their squads as the 2025/26 season reaches a defining phase.
The window runs from February 25 to March 4, a brief but strategic period that allows clubs to address weaknesses and fine-tune their rosters ahead of the second round of the campaign.
After the conclusion of the first round on Matchday Nine, Bayelsa Queens FC sit proudly atop Group A, while FC Robo Queens lead the way in Group B following nine rounds of competitive action.
With only the top three teams in each group guaranteed spots in the coveted Super Six playoffs—and the bottom four sides facing the threat of relegation—the margins remain tight and the stakes high across both groups.
Action in the Premiership resumes on March 11, as title hopefuls aim to solidify their positions and chasing teams look to make decisive transfer moves that could define their season and shape the Super Six race.
