Nigeria Volleyball Federation unveils Japanese coach Ryan Masajedi

 

 

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) is set to usher in a new chapter for the sport with the official unveiling of Japanese tactician Ryan Masajedi as the new head coach of Nigeria's national volleyball teams on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

 

The ceremony will take place at the Indoor Sports Hall, Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, beginning at 10:00 a.m., and is expected to attract key figures from across Nigeria's sporting community.

 

Masajedi's appointment signals the federation's determination to raise the standard of Nigerian volleyball through world class technical expertise. 

 

Widely respected for his disciplined coaching philosophy and tactical approach, the Japanese coach is expected to introduce modern training methods that will enhance the performance of the country's men's and women's national teams.

 

The NVBF believes his wealth of international experience will play a crucial role in strengthening the technical foundation of Nigerian volleyball while preparing the teams to compete more effectively at major continental and global competitions, including the forthcoming African Nations Cup.
