He currently serves as Sports Manager at KAFTAN TV Abuja. He also worked with Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network in Abuja, a position he has held since 2020. His professional background also includes working with TStv Africa and serving as a sports presenter and reporter at FRCN Unity 101.5 FM in Abakaliki, among other media organisations.

He also serve as stadium announcer and member of Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Media team.

Throughout his career, Olowookere has covered major sporting events, including the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), African Games, CAF competitions and National Sports Festivals.

His expertise spans sports presentation, content development, stakeholder engagement, team coordination and media communications. He also has a strong foundation in computer science and information technology.

In his new role, Olowookere will oversee media activities for the Super Sand Eagles as they prepare for their two-legged 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (BSAFCON) qualifying fixture against Ghana.

The first leg is scheduled to take place in Kaduna on Saturday, with the return leg to follow.

Nigeria, one of Africa’s most successful beach soccer nations, will be seeking qualification for the continental tournament, with Olowookere expected to play a key role in strengthening the team’s media presence and communication with supporters and other stakeholders.

His appointment comes at an important stage for the Super Sand Eagles as they seek to build on their return to international competition and re-establish their standing in African beach soccer.
